Free BMEcat converter, no installation
This tool converts in one direction: out of BMEcat into Excel and CSV. It cannot create catalogues — if that is what you need, save yourself the click.
Why the direction matters
“BMEcat converter” means two almost opposite things. Most vendors do Excel → BMEcat: you maintain product data in a spreadsheet and have a standards-compliant catalogue generated from it. That is a supplier's job. The other direction, BMEcat → Excel, is a recipient's job: a catalogue arrives and you need to look inside it, check it and work with parts of it. This tool only does the second.
What free means here
Free without an asterisk: no account, no sign-up, no trial period, no watermark in the generated file, no limit on the number of products. There is also nothing to buy. The reason is simply that the processing costs nothing — it runs in your browser, and there is no server consuming compute time.
What else it does
Converting is half the work; the other half is whether the catalogue is sound at all. So it validates as it goes: against the official BME BMEcat schema (permitted elements, prescribed order, mandatory entries, data types) and, if the catalogue uses ETIM, additionally against ETIM Guideline 5.0 in the country column of your choice. That gives you something to show a supplier.
Limits, plainly
It does not create BMEcat files and does not modify them. It is not a replacement for a PIM system. There is no XSD for BMEcat 1.01, so schema validation is skipped there. And it runs in the browser, so it needs a reasonably current one — in exchange it behaves the same on every operating system.
